At the 2012 CES many smartphone manufacturers have announced the release of various Android phones. Each one of these smartphones comes with a stylish design and high performance features. Actually some of these smartphones have already been released on the market and have delivered the promised features. I’m talking about the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ion and Xperia S, the Motorola Droid 4, the Samsung Exhilarate and the Pantech Burst. Here are only a few of the upcoming smartphones that will be released in the next months on the market.
The Fujitsu Arrows Z ISW13F is expected to be released on the Japanese market in July of 2012. This smartphone measures 135 x 67 x 10.6mm and weighs around 145 grams. It offers a 4.6-inch HD display able to display sharp and crisp images and a 13.6MP camera with IP67 certification and 1080p video recording capabilities. Under the hood, it hosts a 1.5GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The operating system available is Android 4.0. On this smartphone you will find plenty of advanced features and various connectivity options including Wi-Fi, WiMax, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and 3G. The Arrows Z is equipped with an 1800mAh battery.
Another Android smartphone that will be released in the third quarter of 2012 is the Huawei Ascend P1S. This high end device measures 127.4 x 64.8 x 6.7mm and weighs only 110 grams. The 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen dominates the front surface of the phone along with touch-sensitive controls and the 1.3MP front-facing camera. The Ascend P1S is equipped with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.0 with Dolby Mobile 3.0 Plus. The 8MP rear camera is equipped with dual-LED flash, geo-tagging and 1080p video recording capabilities. On this smartphone you will also have the chance to find document viewer, predictive text input, SNS integration, photo viewer/editor and a nice media player. Connectivity is represented by A-GPS, HTML, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and 3G. You should also know that another Ascend model will be released in the same time under the name of Ascend D quad XL. This smartphone is taller and heavier than the P1S and offers a 4.5-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It comes packed with features similar to those of the Ascend P1S, but it’s equipped with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor.
I also need to mention the Casio G-Shock smartphone which is made of tough and waterproof material. It impressed with a unique and attractive design and comes packed with plenty of advanced features. The G-Shock will be powered by a 1GHz single or dual core processor and will run on Android 2.3 OS.
