The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro is a good-looking smartphone that impresses with its slim body and touchscreen interface. It’s the first smartphone released on the market with 720p video recording capability. This Sony Ericsson mobile phone measures 109 x 52 x 15mm and weighs around 117 grams, being one of the thinnest slider phones available on the market (most likely the thinnest). It features a 3.2-inch touchscreen able to support 16 million colors and a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels and some amazing front buttons incorporated into a silver strip. On the left side you will find the 3.5mm headphone jack along with two camera buttons while the microUSB port is located on the phone’s top.

For typing messages, you have available a slide-out keyboard which easily slides out and snaps into place. This keyboard has well spaced keys, offering a comfortable typing experience. Under the hood, this amazing smartphone hosts a 720MHz processor with 75MB of storage and runs on Symbian Series 60, 5th Edition offering multiple desktops and a custom media interface. You will notice the usual five separate tabs that you can find on the original Sony Ericsson Vivaz. These tabs are meant to offer functionality and convenience. The smartphone offers support for various text and messaging options including MMS, email, IM and Push Email. The Vivaz Pro comes with many preloaded apps including Google Maps, TrackID music recognition and Facebook and Twitter integration.
Also worth mentioning is the 5MP rear camera available that comes with LED flash and advanced camera settings including geo-tagging, image stabilizer and video-calling. Call quality is good, so you will be able to enjoy loud and clear conversations. The 1200mAh Li-Po battery is able to offer up to 5.1 hours of talk time on 3G and around 440 hours of standby time.

But the real disappointment is the OS: Symbian OS. Outdated, out paced, resource hungry and dumb. Sony should update their line with another vivaz, based on the Android OS. This thing would be a beast.
