The Sony Ericsson T715 is an interesting device which comes with a solid design and plenty of useful features. It’s small, looks like any other Sony Ericsson device and combines a solid set of features with a stylish design. This phone measures 91.5 x 48 x 14.9mm and weighs around 96 grams being comfortable to keep inside a pocket. On the front surface of the phone you will notice the 2.2-inch TFT screen able to support 16 million colors and a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. Under the screen, you will find the navigational array with a five-way toggle in the middle. By sliding up the phone you will reveal the keypad which features well spaced and responsive keys.

The phone book offered by this Sony Ericsson allows you to store around 1,000 contacts and add for each contact various phone numbers, email address, job title and other personal details. You can also group your contacts and add a picture ID and one of the ringtones available. For those who had the opportunity to use a Sony Ericsson phone before, the interface will seem familiar and easy to use. On this device you will also find organizer, voice memo, predictive text input and TrackID music recognition.
The T715 includes a 3.2MP camera which offers panoramic, video and burst-shoot modes. Image quality is decent with nice colors and details that look pretty good on the phone’s screen. However, the full size screen of your PC will immediately reveal the rogue pixels. Another multimedia feature that you will find on the Sony Ericsson T715 is the built-in media player which comes with a simple interface and standard controls. This media player is able to support AAC and MP3 file formats. You can also enjoy using TrackID and PlayNow Arena. This phone also offers FM radio allowing you to listen to your favorite radio stations. The pictures and music files of interest can be stored on the 90MB of memory available, but I personally suggest you to store them on microSD cards of up to 4GB in order to spare the internal storage for emergencies.

When it comes to connectivity, the Sony Ericsson T715 is able to provide support for Bluetooth 2.0, EDGE, WAP 2.0/HTML (NetFront) and 3G. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use Wi-Fi or GPS because they lack. Equipped with a 950mAh Li-Po battery, this phone is able to provide 4 hours of talk time (3G) and 400 hours of standby time. Bottom line, the Sony Ericsson T715 is a refreshing device which offers music and camera capabilities. It’s a phone useful for those interested only in basic capabilities.
