Blackberry 8350i

The BlackBerry 8350i is an interesting smartphone with plenty features and capabilities that make it useful for a wide variety of tasks. Measuring 4.4 x 2.4 x 0.7 and weighing 4.7 ounces, the Curve 8350i looks like the rest of the Curve models released by RIM.  On phone’s front face you will discover a 2.4-inch display that sits above the trackball and the QWERTY keyboard. On the right side you will find the volume rocker and the convenience key while on the left you will see the 2.5mm headphone jack, a miniUSB charging/data port and a convenience key. The 2MP camera is located on the back along with the microSD card slot that you will find behind the battery.

As I said above, under the display you will find the trackball and navigational buttons that are responsive and large enough to be used even by people with larger fingers. The keyboard is similar to those available on previous models, but a little larger so that it can offer a pleasant writing experience. The BlackBerry Curve runs on BlackBerry 4.6 OS that was available for the first time on the BlackBerry Bold. The OS provides modern icons and a nice user interface. When you will first use it you may feel a little intimidated because each program comes with its own icon, so the main menu displays around 25 icons. You will find this overwhelming, but after a short while you will get to consider the operating system easy to use and customize. You will be pleased to see how smooth and fast the Curve 8350i runs.

Moving on, this BlackBerry features an unlimited phone book that allows you to add for each contact three email addresses, phone numbers, home/work address and birthday. You can classify your contacts in groups and add for each contact a picture ID. This smartphone offers various messaging options and with the help of BlackBerry Internet Service you will have the possibility to access up to 10 email addresses. Regarding the connectivity options available on this smartphone, you will be happy to know that you can use Bluetooth 2.0, A2DP, Wi-Fi and A-GPS.

Another interesting feature available on this smartphone is the 2MP camera located on the back. This camera comes with digital zoom, flash and camcorder capabilities. Your pictures will look crisp and will display superb color saturation. You will be able to store your pictures and videos on the 128MB of in-built memory available or on microSD cards of up to 16GB. There is also available a nice media player that supports various format files including WMA, MP3, MPEG4 and WMV.
